Our current campaign is featuring Together We Rise. Together We Rise is a non-profit organization comprised of motivated young adults and former foster youth. Together We Rise was started by college students who felt like they could do something to help the foster care system in America. TWR’s vision is to improve the lives of foster children in America, who often find themselves forgotten and neglected by the public. They collaborate with community partners to bring resources to foster youth and use service-learning activities to educate volunteers on issues surrounding the foster care system.

TWR works with hundreds of foster agencies, social workers, CASA advocates, and other partners to bring their programs to foster youth across the nation. Their foundation has allowed us to provide thousands of foster youth across the country with new bicycles, college supplies, and suitcases so that children do not have to travel from home to home with their belongings in a trash bag.

What we love about Together We Rise is that they want to make sure that these children and youth feel LOVED and CARED for. The constant change of homes can cause a lot of hurt in the lives of these children and youth but TWR is showing up to tell them that they are not forgotten. One of the coolest things about TWR is our opinion is they are people just like us wanting to make a difference. On their website is says the following, “We are advocates. We are young, ambitious, humanitarians, artists, and students. We are unique individuals who are ready to see change in this world and are eager to pursue it.” WE LOVE THIS.
